It measures the pressure in the environment or medium and converts it into a voltage or current signal for connection and processing with an analog input interface such as an analog-to-digital converter, analog circuit or control system. The operating principle of analog output pressure sensors is usually based on the action of force or pressure on the sensing element inside the sensor. Common operating principles include resistive (such as strain gauges, thermistors), capacitive, and inductive. The sensing element inside the sensor changes its physical properties as pressure changes, resulting in a change in resistance, capacitance, or inductance. The sensor’s circuitry measures and converts these changes, converting the pressure into an analog output signal proportional to it.
