レポート概要

The Europe polyurethane injections market is expected to witness a CAGR of around 6%, during the forecast period, 2018 – 2023. Germany dominated the Europe polyurethane injections market in 2017.
Growth in Revitalization of Public Infrastructure Projects in Europe to Drive the Market

In most countries of Europe the public sector infrastructure is approaching the end phase of its life cycle. The maintenance costs have increased far faster than state and local tax revenues allocated for their purposes. This condition is further magnified by an inability to borrow money due to existing high debt obligations, and very high borrowing costs because of low bond ratings. Hence, as repair of existing public sector infrastructure is the most feasible solution, there is an immense potential for the application of polyurethane injection products, which is driving the market.

Infrastructure Repair – The Dominating End-use Segment

By end-user, infrastructure repair dominated the Europe polyurethane injections market in 2017. Polyurethane Injections are used to strengthen foundation, to raise, re-level, and re-support residential, commercial, and industrial buildings: houses, home units, factories, and warehouses. They are further used to fill crack and joints for preventing water infiltration and are also applied in bridges to increase the bearing capacity of the ground to stabilize them. Though the construction industry in Europe is experiencing a sluggish growth in recent years; however, growing requirement of maintenance & repair activities are expected to fuel the consumption of polyurethane injections during the forecast period.

Germany – the Largest Market amongst Countries

Germany is the Europe’s leading plastic producer. The construction market in the country has been growing slowly, mainly driven by the increasing new residential construction activities. Government investment has increased significantly in Germany in recent years. It is also expected that, Germany would spend more on the public infrastructure and there would be an increase in investments through public-private partnerships at municipal level. Furthermore, the country has made stringent environmental regulations to curb the VOC emissions that occur during the manufacture of some construction chemicals. Hence, the domestic polyurethane injections demand is expected to grow considerably during the next five years, owing to the growing end-user markets.

Major Players: Sika AG, BASF SE, Huntsman Corporation, and Lafarge SA, amongst others.
