レポート概要

European silage inoculants market is expected to cross USD 145 million by 2023 with an estimated CAGR of 5%. European countries are leading the market with 40% of the global share. Spain, UK, and France are the major markets. Increasing demand for animal products, well-established livestock industry in those regions and increasing demand for silage inoculant applications in the animal feed sector are the major reasons for market growth. By employing sophisticated technology in terms of feed, Europe is meeting the demand of the consumers.
Increase in Livestock Production

According to the World Bank, industrialized meat production has grown six times faster than the traditional meat production methods. With increasing mass production of meat, a shift is observed toward landless meat production facilities. The meat production industry has been consolidating, especially in developed parts of the world, such as the United States and Europe, to increase bovine meat production with reduced land usage. Feed-lot raised animals are kept indoors and are provided with compound feed for their enhanced growth and are supplied with essential nutrients. This led to increased demand and consumption of feed, thereby, driving the market for silage, especially suited for ruminants.

The shift toward meat production industrialization requires a better regulatory framework to protect public health and at the same time, provides high feed additive inputs in animal feeds to increase the protein-content and provide sufficient nutrition to cater to the nutritive needs of the cattle. Silage inoculants are added to the feedstock in varying quantities, depending on the cattle type as well as the surrounding environment and to preserve the silage for longer durations.

Technologically Advanced Products

The best way to reduce the feed costs is to retain more forage from the field to feedbunk and increase the quality of the silage itself. The correct inoculant choice can help in preventing the heat out from feed. The combination of Silage inoculated with Lactobacillus buchneri 40788 will act as a strong resistant to heating and spoilage as it organism dramatically decreases the yeast levels. L. buchneri 40788 used on 400,000 CFU per gram of silage or 600,000 CFU per gram of high-moisture corn (HMC), has been uniquely reviewed by the FDA for improved aerobic stability. The increasing silage quantity and dipping spoilage losses. Along with executing good management practices, manufacturers can plan to reduce feed costs and feed high-quality silage.
